Super Bowl Sunday Bar Specials

In case you haven't heard, there is a football game being played this Sunday and it's called the Super Bowl. It's kind of a big deal, especially now that the hometown Giants are in the game. You'll probably want to watch it. For those of you who haven't spent half your salary this year to head out to Arizona, we're here to give you a rundown of the best spots on the Upper East Side to catch the Big Game. We know that your apartment probably isn't big enough to fit all your friends in comfortably, so we've put together a list of great bars on the UES with plenty of room and specials to make your Super Bowl Sunday pretty, well, super.

Aces & Eights Saloon

Our first stop for the game is at Aces & Eights Saloon, on 1st Avenue. Aces & Eights is a great place to watch the game every Sunday, and for their Super Bowl Bash they are offering an all you can drink and eat bonanza. From kickoff until the end of the game, you get all the Bud and Bud Light you can drink, and all the wings you can eat, for $30 a person! Doors open at 4, so make sure you get there and get a seat before it gets too crazy. 1683 1st Avenue, b/w 87th & 88th.

The Big Easy

Get a taste of New Orleans at the 2nd Avenue hotspot The Big Easy. The Big Easy will be featuring drink specials all day long, including shot specials every time the Giants score. They will also be featuring two open bar specials: $25 dollars gets you ready for the game, with all you can drink beers and well drinks between 3 and 6. For $35, that deal extends through the game and gets you food as well. 1768 2nd Avenue, b/w 92nd & 93rd.

Mad River Bar & Grille

Mad River is another great spot on the UES to watch the game. If you want a table for your whole group, they are still taking reservations, so call quickly- keep in mind there is a $40 minimum for each person at the table. If you want to take your chances at the bar, Mad River is offering a $35 open bar that starts a half hour before kickoff and ends a half hour after the game, including domestic beers and well drinks. 1443 3rd Avenue, b/w 81st & 82nd.

The Gael Pub

The Gael Pub, located just a block up from Mad River, is offering a number of specials for the Super Bowl. The most appealing one for New York fans may be the free shots every time the G-Men score! Also, Gael Pub will be serving up $12 Bud Light pitchers, $4 drafts, and $14 Sam Adams pitchers for any Bostonians who happen to stumble in. They also will be holding a free raffle and a Super Bowl score pool for interested customers. 1465 3rd Avenue, b/w 82nd & 83rd.

Saloon

A Manhattan haven for Patriots fans. Saloon is located on York Avenue and should be filled with New Englanders getting their fill of $5 Bloody Marys during the game. Also, Saloon is offering a $40 open bar and light buffet for the duration of the game. The perfect spot if you're sporting a pink Tom Brady jersey and don't pronounce your R's. 1584 York Avenue, b/w 83rd & 84th

Also be sure to check out these great UES bars:

Crowe's Nest Bar & Restaurant, Molly Pitcher's Ale House, Murphy's Law, and the place you can usually find me on a Sunday afternoon, Bar Coastal.
